Privacy Policy for Continuum

Continuum ("we," "our," or "the extension") is a Chrome extension that helps users export and import AI chat context across supported chatbot websites.

1. What Continuum does

Continuum allows users to:

• Export visible conversation context from a supported chatbot page into a local .ctx file.
• Import a .ctx file into a supported chatbot page to continue a conversation.

Continuum is designed for one purpose: portable AI chat continuity.

2. Information we process

Continuum may process the following data when the user initiates export/import actions:

• Website content: visible chat page content needed to perform export/import.
• Personal communications: chat message text included by the user in export/import files.
• Extension settings and metadata: local preferences and recent export metadata.

3. How data is used

Data is used only to:

• Detect supported chatbot pages.
• Export conversation context into user-generated .ctx files.
• Import/replay user-provided .ctx context into target chatbot pages.
• Store local extension settings and convenience metadata.

4. Data sharing and sale

• We do not sell user data.
• We do not transfer user data to third parties for advertising or unrelated purposes.
• We do not use data to determine creditworthiness or lending eligibility.

5. Data storage and retention

• Settings and metadata are stored locally in chrome.storage.local.
• Exported .ctx files are saved to the user's device via Chrome Downloads.
• No Continuum account is required.

6. Remote code and external services

• No remote executable code is loaded (no remote JavaScript/Wasm).
• No private APIs are used.
• Core behavior is DOM-based and runs from packaged extension code.

7. Permissions

Continuum requests only permissions needed for its single purpose: activeTab, scripting, storage, downloads, and host permissions for supported chatbot domains.

8. Security

We use Chrome extension platform controls and least-privilege permissions to reduce unnecessary data access. No software can guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

Continuum is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updated versions will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date.
